The June Cleaver

New dresses I just finished. The June Cleaver and the Three Hour Lemon. I'm happy with them.

Let's all take pictures of ourselves and beat off into infinity!

Well! A blog. A journal. A place to pour out one's heedless American vanity upon the unsuspecting public! More likely, just the people who google your name and find out you've blogged.

From my experience, blogs have just been places for the "yummy mummy" phenomenon. For women to vapidly effuse equally vain sentiments on stay-at-home motherhood, getting out carpet stains and what wonders you can bring forth upon the world in a rice cooker that are, GET THIS, not rice. Now, don't get me wrong! I love these blogs for the clean carpet and rice cooker needs of my everyday life, so my snarkiness is pure, unadulterated hypocrisy.

And so AHA! That's the dick of it all then. Self-awareness. I am AWARE of my many, many vanities, further hypocrisies and wrong-as-hell-nesses. Well most of them. That statement in and of itself is soaked in the conceit of patting myself on the back for my self-knowledge accomplishment! Its a full circle. I love it. I recognize I am completely full of shit, and so are ALL of us!! The bizarre arrogance of people I unfortunately share a generation with (among others) infuriates me to no end! Am I a lone witness to the boldly preening primate behavior of twenty-somethings?? Resource competition and sexual currency trading! More on that later.

So that's what I intend to come from this blog. Which, if I'm honest, probably won't last because I always start these things and then never finish them. To be another one blathering on about a new shampoo I just got that I'm excited about (sexual currency trading), why some people are so damn annoying and other codgery of the highest order (get off my lawn you goddamn kids), and why I think your religion and opinions are complete bulllshit. (as are mine,  mind you).

Because after all, as Joe Rogan said, we're all just weird talking monkeys on a rock flying through the universe. Or something like that.

Cheers.

Thank you Euginia Loli

I'd like my first post here to be a bit of admonishment and recognition. The artist who did the gorgeous background on this page is Eugenia Loli. I have some of her other work at home. She is a genius. Please check her out  right here.
Cheers.
